Signs for THE END??

Hey there, Code Fans,

I know this blog is normally for book updates, but I wanted to share some information with you.

In the epilogue of Book III, I list numerous weather and other strange occurrences from December of 2009 to December of 2010.

I mention this because in the last few days millions of fish and several hundreds of thousands of birds have shown up dead in varying places across the globe.

Here are the stats:

On 1/2/11 100,000 Black birds fell dead in Arkansas, while 100 miles away 100,000 Drum fish washed up on river shores in the same state.

In Louisiana, 500 small Black birds also fell from the sky, while 2 million fish turned up dead in the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

Other fish deaths have been reported in Brazil and New Zealand. Other bird deaths have been reported in Sweden. All have occurred within a similar time frame at varying locations.

As scientists discount the "coincidences" and the crack pot, "end of the worlders" buy into the impending Apocalypse, I can feel something amiss. The world may not be on fire, yet something en masse is occurring. But what is it?

The tried and true method of proof will prevail...time will tell.

I will keep you all posted should any further stories emerge. I thought you all might find this information interesting.

Hey there wonderful and devoted 'Code' fans,

I know all of you have been wondering about the release of Book 3 and I promise it is almost here. Thank you again for your patience. I am currently negotiating the logistics to see if I can bring 'The Code' to the big screen. The expected date for release for Book 3 is by 2010 year end or before.

Cross your fingers everyone. Possibility is looming on the horizon and the ticks of time will illuminate the way for us all.

Hey there Code fans,

The months have passed as I've been working on Book 2 and I've been emailed a great deal with questions regarding the adaptation of this work.

So, to bring us up to speed, here are the answers...

Yes, The Code was first written as a television Pilot with 5 subsequent episodes. Many people have commented that this first book tantalizes the reader and leaves much to be filled in, thus readers longingly await the release of Book 2. This is true in that I planned this series to be at least 3 seasons long consisting of 20-23 episodes a season. This first book is only the first 6 episodes, so just the tip of The Code iceberg.

Book 2 will delve further into character and plot dynamics and encompass a longer time frame bringing us up to current time. This leads into the next question. Did I intentionally write in present tense? If so, was it due to the adaptation? Yes, I intentionally wrote in present tense for the screen and the book as a personal choice to allow the reader to follow the journey in an "I'm there with you" capacity. As mentioned, Book 2 will bring us up to present time and we can all share the remainder of the journey together.

Book 2 is on the way for you die-hards. Thanks so much for your interest, your questions, and your kudos.

I was asked the following...

1) What happens to Alice?

2) Will Amanda, the lesbian character, have a love interest?

I will tell you this...Amanda and Alice do not end up together. ;)

One other note...I've heard several people pronouce Natan like the word 'Satan'. The correct pronounciation is 'Nat-on'. Just an FYI.

As the release date nears, I've received numerous questions on various aspects of this novel. So, here are some answers for you die-hards.

1) After that ending, when is book 2 coming out? For those of you who can't wait...Book 2 will be released in early 2008.
2) Exactly how many puzzles are in this book? Yes, it's true...this book has numerous riddles and puzzles...at least 5 that I can think of off the top of my head. Can you name them?
3) Please explain more about the mysterious nature of your cover. This is what I will say about the cover...yes, that is a bible in the ruin window and zero's and ones as 'stars' in the b.g.

Please comment with additional questions and I will ensure they receive an answer.
